Making the best Heart Attack Spaghetti CarbonnaraEditor: mnhirevueA delicious, decadent recipe for spaghetti carbonnara that's every bit worth the coronary it may cause!
SG is very easy to make and generally all the ingredients are in your fridge already. To make Spaghetti Carbonnara you will need the following: 1 package of Bacon (1 lb) 16 ozs of Spaghetti Noodles (1 Package) 1 lb Parmesan Cheese (Kraft is ok, higher quality cheese is better) 5 Eggs Garlic to taste Pepper for the bacon Ground Chili Pepper - Great on top Directions: 1. Cut up your bacon with scissors into a pot or fry pan. Add garlic and pepper to the bacon (be generous - the more the better). Cook the bacon on very low heat for right now. 2. Begin to boil water for spaghetti noodles. Generally plan on about 20 minutes for the water to boil and then add the whole package of spaghetti and cook for 12 minutes or so . 3. Once the water is boiling and you add the spaghetti, turn the bacon up to Medium/High heat. You need to have the bacon finished about 30 seconds before the spaghetti is cooked. 4. While the bacon and spaghetti is cooking, in your serving bowl mix together the five eggs and 1lb of cheese. It will make a thick yellowy substance. 5. When the bacon is about cooked, turn it up to HIGH heat to get the grease very hot. After about 30 seconds on high, take the contents of the entire pot/pan (yes bacon grease and all) and dump it into the serving bowl, on top of the egg mixture. 6. Right after adding the bacon, strain your cooked spaghetti and dump it on top of the bacon and egg mixture. DON'T USE COLD WATER TO COOL THE SPAGHETTI WHEN YOU STRAIN IT, YOU NEED IT HOT! 7. After you dump the spaghetti, take to utensils and start sirring, turning, and mixing the spaghetti, bacon, and egg. Mix it up really well. The heat from the grease and spaghetti cooks the eggs as you mix it up. After mixing serve big portions. I personally like to add chili pepper and more cheese on top but that is up to you. Also, I sometimes prepare chicken for people to through on top . As you can imagine, 1 lb of bacon, 1 lb of cheese and grease isn't the best thing for the system - hence - HEART ATTACK SPAGHETTI! p.s.
